“THE THREE GRACES” MOSAIC MUSEUM

Located in the square of the village named Narlikuyu, which is a cute bay in Silifke district, the Poimenos Bathhouse and its floor mosaics were put under protection and transformed into a small single storey Mosaic Museum which features multi-coloured mosaic tiles, paintings and figures from the Roman period.
We learn from the inscription that the bath was built by Poimemios, who was an influential figure in the Roman government in the fourth century Roman period. We further learn that the mysterious water of the bath, which was built by using the spring water sourced from the underground creek, which can be heard at the bottom of the Heaven Cave in Narlikuyu, reaches the sea, was intended to offer cure to local people.
